Senseo Coffee Machine
The Philips SENSEO Coffee Pod Machine is an upright narrow machine with the water container found at the rear of the unit and three buttons at the front. The massive middle button is the ON / OFF button, the left button is for one cup and the right button is for 2 cups. The head of the machine is composed of three levers in the centre, every one on top of the other. The top one is raised to open the lid. The second one is the lever for the pod holder. These are removable and there are 2 types : the one cup pod holder is shallow, the two cup is deeper. The lowest lever ( the 3rd one ) is the Coffee outflow unit which can be removed for cleaning. This is composed of the 2 nozzles from that the coffee pours out. The 1 or 2 cups are placed beneath these nozzles. Below these three levers is the surface where the cups are placed. This surface is composed of a stainless-steel cup tray and beneath this is the drip tray which catches any drips. Both of these trays are removable for cleaning. The Philips SENSEO Coffee Pod Machine incorporates two specifically designed cups that are just the proper size for the number of coffee that is poured out. Available in three colors : Blue or gray with black levers and silver buttons ; White with gray levers and silver buttons. Instruction Manual – Crucial * to stop unexpected contact with hot water, always ensure the lid of the Senseo machine is correctly locked before you begin to use the machine. * Put the machine on a flat, stable surface outside of the reach of youngsters and make sure kids don’t play with the machine. Never let the machine operate unwatched. * Keep appliance out of the reach of youngsters. * The machine doesn’t work at temperatures below ten degrees Celsius. * Flush the coffee machine with water before using it for the 1st time ( See “Preparing the machine for use” ). This may cause the boiler to fill with water, which is vital for the machine to work correctly.
* don’t use the machine together with water softeners based mostly on sodium exchange. Preparing the Machine for Use NB : you can’t brew coffee if you haven’t flushed the Philips SENSEO Coffee Pod Machine first. The flushing cycle causes the boiler to be crammed with water. After this the coffee machine is ready to be used. To flush the machine : one. Take away the water container by tilting it backwards and lifting it up. Two. Fill the water container to the crown with cold water by hold the back of it against the tap nozzle. Three. Replace the water container to the Philips SENSEO Coffee Pod Machine by placing its base first and then angling it towards you till it sits ready. Release the lid of the Philips SENSEO Coffee Pod Machine by moving the lever upwards and the lid will open with it as you move it up.

Put the one cup or the 2 cup holder in the machine without any coffee pods. Six. Close the lid and lock the lever by pushing it down till it snaps home with a click. Never flush the machine with the lid open. The lid must be correctly locked.
Seven. Put the plug in an earthed wall socket. Eight. Put a bowl ( with a capacity of at least 1500mills ) under the coffee outflow openings to collect the water. Nine. Press both the middle ON / OFF button and one of the other buttons on both sides of it at the same time. The machine will fill itself with water from the water container.
This could take a while and you’ll possibly not notice this is occurring. After a bit, the machine will start flushing and it’ll switch itself off after the flushing cycle. In the flushing cycle the machine produces more noise than in a regular brewing cycle.
Before using the machine for the 1st time, clean the coffee outflow unit and the pod holders with hot water and some washing up liquid or in a dishwasher. Clean the water container entirely with hot water, if required with some washing up liquid. Now your Philips SENSEO Coffee Pod Machine is prepared to be used.
